Texas Trucking Alliance was founded in 2011 on the idea of helping the Texas Trucking Industry. The Alliance is a collaboration between the Texas Trucking Association (formerly TMTA), the TXTA Foundation, and companies that have made a commitment to provide an ongoing mechanism to identify, foster and promote adoption of the best practices in the Texas trucking industry.

Since its inception, TTA has sponsored multiple research studies, including focus group, small COI survey and statewide telephone surveys among Texas trucking company executives/owners. The researched has covered a variety of topics, such as industry demographics, financial benchmarks, human resources, safety, driver recruitment and retention, business operations, and compensation and benefits.
